I attempted, but could not get, an Uber ride from my motel in Traverse City to the airport, so I went the old-fashioned way.
This put me in the doubly unusual situation of:
1. Being on Bike Route 35 but without a bike, and
2. Walking to an airport.

About 20 minutes in I met Ellen walking toward me with her dog. I asked her to confirm I was heading the right direction to the airport, and she offered to drive me there!
Ellen is 75, and lives by the bike path about 100′ away. When we got to her house she asked me to hold her dog Charlie’s leash while she went in to get her license. She drove Charlie and me all the way to the terminal.
Ellen is another one of the really good people on Earth, and I asked God to bless her sevenfold for her kindness to me.

Here’s the last photo of the trip, taken at the Cherry Capital Airport
I highly recommend the USBR 35 route in Michigan’s lower peninsula, and I hope you found something interesting in these posts.
Peace.

Gary
