Upper 60s and mostly cloudy. No, not me, that’s the weather this morning after the front came through yesterday. It’s much cooler and drier, almost cold compared to the last three days of near 90 degree, humid days

There is more of the flat, straight Prairie Grass Trail on the way to Xenia.
During yesterday’s storm I was late to disconnect the speed/cadence meter from my handlebar. Water got into the connection between the meter and the holder, and I think the water shorted it out. Perhaps it was reset and needs to be reconfigured. In any case, it’s useless at the moment. I’ve found that a cadence of 60 cycles/minute is best for me, and I miss the meter.

In Xenia, the Prairie Grass Trail ends and the 78-mile Little Miami Scenic Trail begins. This trail and the surrounding park land remind me of the bike paths in the Cleveland Metro parks.

John, the proprietor, sits in front of his shop in Spring Valley.

Perhaps a maintenance worker was given a task to “cut the tree that has fallen across the trail”. If that was the task, I think the worker succeeded.
Some other cyclists and I moved the branches out of the way enough to make the trail passable.

Here’s a strategically located message in the men’s room at a rest station on the trail. Good advice for all situations

I was passed by a guy on a “one-wheeler”. I took this blurry picture with one hand while trying to keep up with him on my two-wheeler with the other.
I caught up with him when he stopped to rest. He told me his name was Sinjin, and he was “named after Sinjin the volleyball player.” I had to look it up later. Sinjin Smith was the King of Beach Volleyball.

Before I left Cleveland I read on-line the trail was closed under the US 22 bridge while it was being repaired. When I arrived at this point, I turned westward, crossed over the Little Miami River, and rode up into the higher ground of the Cincinnati area and to my motel
Google Maps got confused in the last few miles to the motel in Mason. It routed me into several loops through some shopping center parking lots, directing me at one point to “turn right, then immediately turn right”. I had to exit out when the confusion became obvious. I’ve noticed that Google Maps never admits to confusion, and never apologizes for anything

I’ve heard that Cincinnati has a fast-food chain named “Skyline Chili”. I assumed they served chili, but I had never been to one and knew nothing about the menu.
When I explained to the waitress that this was my first time, she seemed unusually excited and asked if I’d like to try a 3-Way.
Hmm . . . It turns out here a 3-Way consists of a plate of spaghetti noodles, covered with their original secret-recipe chili, and topped with grated cheddar-ish cheese.
